17362 South Rustling Leaf Trail
Vail, AZ 85641
USA
They do at Sycamore Canyon, because buffelgrass is not crowding out precious water and space for our native wildflowers – unlike our county roads, which are increasingly infested with buffelgrass!
Come out and walk a trail – scout for buffelgrass and pick up a few pieces of trash along the way! It’s a fun way to get some exercise and engage in a community service at the same time!
When: Saturday, March 8
Time: Meet at 8:30 a.m. Event ends at 10:30 a.m. or sooner – your choice.
Where: The pool parking lot. Look for the Buffelgrass Brigade Banner.
Bring: Closed toed shoes and long pants. Water and sunscreen. Long sleeved shirts and hats are helpful. Bags (for trash and small plants) and trail maps will be supplied by the Foundation. Some like to bring a SMALL pick to dig up a stray plant or two along the way. This is NOT required to participate.
Contact: Lia Lavallee – 820-5302 (text or call). Email: lia.lavallee@gmail.com. As always, an RSVP helps planning.
