Clear air, colorful sunsets, open space
Sycamore Canyon lies within 1,598 acres of some of the most biologically significant areas of the Upper Sonoran Desert. At 3,400 feet, the rolling terrain supports saguaro, cholla and ocotillo cactus, abundant mesquite trees, and native grasslands. The most distinguishing natural feature is the community’s namesake, Sycamore Canyon which carves it’s way through the local terrain.
The vision of Sycamore Canyon grew from a conviction that done correctly, new community development can successfully coexist with nature. Perhaps the most significant decision was to permanently set aside as open space more than 70% of the community – a total of more than 1,100 acres.
Community amenities include a swimming pool and six-acre community park featuring two acres of grass, two ramadas for picnics and parties and a basketball court. The community’s Events Committee also holds a variety of events throughout the year, including annual yard sales, a Block Party, and an Easter Egg Hunt.
